1971.
Elmec is founded
Clemente Ballerio and Cesare Corti establish the Elmec company in Varese. The name comes from its original focus: “ELaborazione MECcanografica” (mechanographical processing).
1983.
Elmec Informatica is founded
In the early 1980s, thanks to our partnership with IBM, we begin selling our first personal computers. In 1983, Elmec Informatica is born.
2000.
New headquarters
Our new headquarters in Brunello, in the province of Varese, is now a real Technology Campus with six Smart Buildings. Book your visit here
2015.
Tier IV Data Centre
We open Elmec Informatica's new Tier IV Data Centre - 100% green and one of Europe's most advanced infrastructures in terms of facilities and technology.
2016.
Sustainability Report

Buytec
The Technology Campus expands and B6 is created: a multifunctional building that houses the headquarters of Buytec, the group's refurbishment company.
